The topics of the theses are based on the main research areas of the chair and current research projects. Priority is given to theses that address research methodology issues relating to the further development of quantitative methods, as well as the application of newly developed methodological approaches.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from original data collection, simulation studies, secondary analyses of existing data sets (e.g., large-scale assessments, replication projects, or collaborations with other departments), as well as systematic reviews and meta-analyses can also be used as a basis for theses.<\/p>\n<h2>Courses<\/h2>\n<p>Offered courses include research methodology and diagnostic modules in the B.Sc. Psychology, M.Sc. Psychology, and M.Sc. Psychology KliPs degree programs. In addition to theoretical content, students also learn how to implement statistical methods in the R software.<\/p>\n<h3>Courses in the current semester 2025\/26:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Advanced research methods \/ Multivariate Statistics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The lecture &#8220;Multivariate Statistics&#8221; provides insights into the background of multivariate methods in statistics, the theory and fields of application of complex and multivariate statistical analysis methods, their practical implementation, and measurement theory. The seminar focuses on the field of educational research with selected competency tests and their evaluation principles.
